What you can change
Everything. The template opens as ordinary layers — headline, supporting lines, contacts, rules and blocks of colour — so you rewrite the words, swap the palette for your own brand colours, drop your logo in place of the mark, and move anything that sits wrong. How this file has to be built
- Bleed 0.125" · safety 0.125"
- Backgrounds run 0.125" past the cut line so trimming never opens a white sliver; anything that must survive stays 0.125" inside it. The studio canvas is the cut line itself — magenta edge — and the dashed guide inside it is the safety margin.
- 150 DPI at final size
- Large format is read from a distance, so 150 DPI in size is the honest number — more is wasted file, not sharper print. One side or both, your choice at checkout.
- White underbase layer
- These ride as separate masks, not as part of the artwork: 100% black where the layer lands, white where it does not. Design the ink in the studio and send the mask alongside it.
- · Clear, translucent and perforated films need a White layer under anything that must stay opaque.
- · Reverse (second-surface) printing mirrors the artwork — we handle the flip, do not pre-mirror your file.
- · Frosted etch prints as a single frosted tone: design it as a silhouette, not as a photograph.
- · Floor graphics take a slip-resistant laminate that slightly mutes colour.

- What is the difference between first-surface and second-surface printing?
- First surface (direct) is printed on the front and applied to the outside of the glass. Second surface (reverse) is printed mirrored and applied inside, so the glass protects the ink. We mirror the file for you — send it reading correctly.
- Will my logo show up on perforated window film?
- The shape will; the detail will not. Perf is roughly half holes, so anything thinner than about an inch dissolves. Use bold solid shapes and heavy type.
- Do I need white ink on a clear decal?
- For anything that must be opaque, yes. Without a White layer, CMYK on clear film behaves like a stained-glass tint and picks up whatever is behind the glass.
