These source guides are linked to plastic card SKU 835. Each has ⅛ in artwork extension per edge and a ⅛ in safe inset. Follow the drawn cut boundary; the PDF page box is the larger artwork canvas. Remove guide artwork before exporting. Do not apply these measurements to other products.
Prepare the white layer
The current option prints the front with full color and white. Double-sided and color-only modes are not offered in this configurator.
- In Illustrator, put the intended white coverage in a top layer named White.
- Use a spot swatch named White, with CMYK 0/100/0/0 as its preview color. Process magenta is not a white separation.
- Enable Overprint Fill for the white shapes. Keep unprinted areas out of this spot plate.
- Keep that named spot separation when exporting PDF, AI or EPS; outline text and embed images. A flattened JPG or PNG does not preserve the spot plate.
The document layer position is not a RIP or print-pass instruction. Review white coverage and the artwork proof before production; no automatic mirroring or white-pass count is specified here.

The stock is 30PT, offered in Clear, Frosted, or White, with full color plus white ink for artwork that needs an opaque base. Rounded corners at 1/8 inch are included. Choose the familiar 3.5 x 2 inch size or 3.35 x 2.16 inches, with quantities from 50 through 1,000.
Designing a readable see-through business card
Treat the transparent space as part of the layout. A background that looks white on your monitor may need to remain clear in the finished card, while your logo may need an opaque white base. Identify those two areas separately instead of placing the entire design inside a solid rectangular background.
Keep phone numbers and other small details together in a high-contrast area. The configured front-only print avoids competing messages showing through from the reverse; check the card against both light and dark backgrounds when reviewing the artwork.

What material and thickness are your clear plastic business cards?
Choose 30PT Clear, 30PT Frosted or 30PT White Plastic. Both 3.5 x 2 inch and 3.35 x 2.16 inch sizes are listed, with 1/8 inch rounded corners included. This product does not offer a 20pt stock option.
Do clear business cards need white ink?
The configured print is full color plus white. White ink makes selected artwork opaque on transparent plastic; areas intended to stay see-through should be identified separately in your artwork instructions. Check the proof for both the printed design and the transparent spaces.
What's the difference between clear and frosted plastic cards?
Clear plastic leaves unprinted areas transparent. Frosted plastic has a translucent appearance, while white plastic provides an opaque background. All three choices here are 30PT; choose the background effect that suits your design rather than treating them as different thicknesses.
What quantities and production times can I select?
Listed quantities run from 50 to 1,000 cards. Compare your selected quantity in the configurator for the current total. Rush: 1–2 business days (selected by default). Express: 5 business days. Standard: 10 business days. Production starts immediately after payment; delivery time is additional.
What artwork files do you accept?
Use the file types listed beside the artwork upload. Supply a print-ready file at the correct size with the bleed and safe area required for your product. Artwork uploaded directly is attached as supplied; the Design Studio has a separate layout and export step. Attaching a file does not confirm that its colors, fonts or cut lines have passed production checks.
Do you ship clear plastic business cards nationwide?
Yes — Angels Print offers nationwide shipping, with a shop in Sun Valley, California. Delivery options depend on the selected item and order. Pickup at our Sun Valley shop is always free. Delivery costs at least $50; higher calculated charges apply. Legacy delivery thresholds and promotion codes do not change that charge. We calculate the available delivery charge at checkout from your ZIP and the items in the order.
