Held off the wall by its hardware, the panel picks up a shadow line and reads as dimensional, which is the finish clinics, conference rooms, and office lobbies tend to ask for. Pick 6 x 6, 12 x 9, and 24 x 18, or a dimension of your own, milled from acrylic in clear, white, or black at 1/8", 1/4", or 1/2". Standoffs are included, from 0.5" to 1", in gold, silver, black, or white. Reverse printing puts the ink behind the sheet, leaving a glossy, fingerprint-resistant front. This oversized item requires pickup or a separate shipping quote and is excluded from free and flat-rate shipping.

Bought this? Write a reviewFor most office reception and lobby signs we print on 1/4" acrylic, which stays flat and reads as a solid, premium panel on the wall. 1/8" works for small signs under about 12" and for lightweight ADA-style room panels, while 1/2" is worth it for large conference-room or entry panels over 36" wide where you want a thick, sculpted edge. If you're unsure, send us the finished size and we'll recommend the thickness that won't bow between the standoffs.
Every standoff acrylic sign ships with brushed or polished aluminum barrel standoffs, wall anchors and screws, plus a drill template so the holes land exactly where the sign is bored. Standard barrels are 1" diameter with a 1" wall gap, which gives the floating shadow people expect from a lobby sign with standoffs; shorter 3/4" barrels are available if you want the panel tighter to the wall. Holes are CNC-drilled about 1" in from each corner before we ship, so nothing has to be drilled on site.
For clear acrylic we recommend second-surface printing: the ink goes on the back of the panel with a white backup layer, so the acrylic itself protects the artwork and colors look richer through the thickness. First-surface printing is the right call on frosted or white acrylic, or when you want a matte, non-reflective face for a photo-heavy wall. Second-surface is also the more durable choice in a busy lobby where the sign gets touched or wiped down.
Yes — we cut individual acrylic letters and logo shapes on the router and mount each piece on its own mini standoffs, which is what most people mean by stand off lettering. It costs more than one flat panel because every letter is cut, drilled and installed separately, so tight scripts and thin serifs need to be at least 3/8" thick at the narrowest stroke or they'll be fragile. Send vector art (PDF, AI, SVG) with the text converted to outlines and we'll flag any strokes too thin to cut.
Upload print-ready PDF, PNG, JPG or SVG. The built-in two-sided editor renders PDFs, lets you position and zoom your design, and crops it to size with print bleed automatically.
