Stock is 100# gloss cover finished with soft touch lamination, which leaves the surface matte and slightly velvety, and the handles are reinforced to carry real weight. Raised foil in shiny gold adds a metallic accent where the logo sits. Sizes start at a mini 6x6x3 and include a narrow wine bottle bag, with custom builds available. Bought this? Write a reviewThe common retail sizes are 8x4x10, 10x5x13 and 16x6x12 inches, which cover boutique apparel, gift shops and bulk retail. Styles run from natural kraft shopping bags with handles for a rustic look to white or matte-laminated bags for a more upscale boutique gift bag. Handles are twisted paper for kraft or flat cotton rope for the premium bags — tell us what you're putting in it and we'll match the size and handle to the weight.
Both work. A one- or two-color logo screen print is the most economical for retail bags with a logo, and it looks right on kraft. For full-color photography or gradients we use offset printing on white stock with lamination, which is more expensive but reproduces the artwork properly. Keep in mind that kraft's brown tone shifts printed colors — anything light or pastel disappears on it, so we recommend bold, solid colors on kraft.
Custom shopping bags are made to order, so minimums are higher than for flat printed goods — typically 250 or 500 bags per size and style depending on the construction. Unit price drops meaningfully at 1,000 and again at 2,500. Because bags are converted after printing, plan on longer than our standard 3–5 day turnaround; ask us for a firm production date before you build a launch around it.
We'll send you a die line for your exact bag size showing the front and back panels, the gussets and the glue and fold areas. Place your artwork on that template in vector form with logos in outlines, and keep type off the gusset creases — anything crossing a fold gets distorted. If you only have a logo file, send the highest-resolution vector you've got and we'll lay out the panels for you.
