Vinyl & Fabric Banners templates
Banners are hung, and hanging is what ruins layouts: grommets punch through the corners, hems fold the outer inch back, and pole pockets swallow the top and bottom entirely. Every layout here keeps the message inside a two-inch margin so nothing important ends up folded, punched or wrapped around a pole. Printed at 150 dpi in the finished size.
100 starting layouts, drawn for 96 × 36"
Each one opens in the studio as editable layers. The wording is a placeholder — replace it with yours and the layout holds.

Sizes we print
18 sizes in 14 proportions — a layout survives a change of size, not a change of proportion, which is why the grid above is drawn for the size marked below.

How this file has to be built
- Bleed 0.125" · safety 0.125"
- Backgrounds run 0.125" past the cut line so trimming never opens a white sliver; anything that must survive stays 0.125" inside it. The studio canvas is the cut line itself — magenta edge — and the dashed guide inside it is the safety margin.
- 150 DPI at final size
- Large format is read from a distance, so 150 DPI in size is the honest number — more is wasted file, not sharper print. One side or both, your choice at checkout.
- Keep 2" clear of the edge
- Grommets, pole pockets, hems and frame lips all eat the border. Type that close is hidden by the hardware, not by the press.
- · Grommets, hems and pole pockets all live in the outer 2 in — treat that band as unusable.
- · Mesh banner is perforated: fine type and thin lines break up, set copy large and solid.
- · Blockout vinyl is the only stock that stops a double-sided print showing through.
What it costs printed
Prices are the catalogue entry point for each item, computed by the same engine that charges at checkout. Stock, finish, size and quantity move the number — the configurator on each page shows it live.
Vinyl & Fabric Banners questions
- How much space do grommets and hems take?
- Assume two inches all round. The hem folds the outer inch back on itself and grommets are punched about an inch in, so a logo sitting an inch from the edge can end up half folded and half punched.
- Can I print both sides of a banner?
- Yes, but only blockout vinyl stops the two sides showing through each other. On standard 13 oz vinyl a double-sided print ghosts.
- Why is a mesh banner blurry?
- It is not blurry, it is perforated — mesh has holes so wind passes through, which is what keeps it on a fence. Detail below about an inch tall disappears into the holes.
